It’s time for a bit of Eccleston appreciation! As I said in my “why I would bang the most recent Doctors” post of one of my other blogs, here it is again:
I loved his anger and snark. There was something deliciously scary and aggressive about him and he did it well. I liked how honest he was and at times very unforgiving. He didn’t take shit, but he had a humor to him as well. Chris Eccleston is such an amazing actor and he did the Doctor well. Sad that there couldn’t be more of him, but his short-lived run was fiery and amazing. As I’m sure you may or may not know, I wasn’t all too fond of Rose, but I enjoyed her dynamic with Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor. I think it would’ve been interesting to see him go another round as the Doctor, but alas we’ll never know. At least we’ve got the first series to enjoy.
By the way I am drooling over that well groomed beard. He looks SO good. Also that picture of him when he’s a bit younger.
